Fat boy out six weeks.

Knee surgery again.

You gotta be kidding me.

==========

Surgery for Curry

Eddy Curry’s monthlong hiatus got extended another (estimated) six weeks Monday when the Knicks announced he underwent an "arthroscopic debridement … to remove loose cartilage in his [left] knee."

Thus, someone labeled a potential franchise player not only by coach Mike D’Antoni, but predecessors Larry Brown and Isiah Thomas, now has had surgery on both of his knees, having had a 2008 procedure on the right one.

Based on the six-week estimate, that means a player D’Antoni also said was a major reason why the Knicks didn’t sign Allen Iverson, but who’s played only seven games this season (the last one Dec. 17) and only three last season, won’t return until March.

"He’ll come back, he’ll get ready to go," D’Antoni said of someone whom the Knicks also separated from the rest of the team in training camp for a private conditioning program, "and at that time we’ll assess what’s going on with the team, what’s going on with him, look at him and then make a decision each day."

It is an endless mess regarding McCurry.

It won't change. We're fucked.

I still say we're best off going for a buyout.

Eddy wanted 8M up front to begin the year. We gave him 2M. (Actually that may have been TWO years ago that this happened).

So to me, you pay him what is left of this year (5M?) and you buy his 11.5M out for 8.5M.

So you wave 13.5M in front of fatty's face? I bet he takes it. And we shave 3M off our 2010 cap.

There is no other way unless people really value his 11.5M 2011 contract as a tradeable asset next year.

Gaines Adams, Chicago Bears Defensive End, Dies at 26

1/17/2010 11:21 AM ET By Michael David Smith

Chicago Bears defensive end Gaines Adams died Sunday morning in South Carolina, county coroner James T. Coursey said. Adams was 26.

Adams was taken to the emergency room at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, where was pronounced dead, the Greenville News first reported. A preliminary autopsy Sunday revealed Adams had an enlarged heart and likely died of cardiac arrest, ESPN reported.

According to NFL Network, Coursey explained that "health issues" on Sunday morning prompted Adams' girlfriend to call an ambulance. Adams arrived at the hospital just after 8 a.m. ET and was pronounced dead less than a half hour later. Coursey said Adams had no history of health problems.

"We are stunned and saddened by the news of Gaines' passing," the Bears franchise said in a statement. "Our prayers are with his family during this difficult time."

Adams was born in Greenwood, South Carolina, and played his college football at Clemson. He was the 2006 ACC Defensive Player of the Year.

"I just couldn't believe it was Gaines," said Tommy Bowden, who was Gaines' head coach at Clemson. "I will always remember the smile he had on his face and I will always remember his patience."

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers chose him with the fourth overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft. The Buccaneers traded Adams to the Bears during the 2009 regular season.

In his three-year NFL career, Adams played in 47 games and recorded 13.5 sacks.

Yeah that's a shame.

As to enlarged hearts most every NBA player has one. Those about 6'6" and taller. Most every person that is that tall or taller in the world has an enlarged heart. It seems to come with the territory.

Remember, these people aren't normal. They're freaks of nature. They're mutants. In that...whatever caused them to grow so tall also took a toll on their system. The heart seems to be the first in line.

I think the doctors must have misdiagnosed Curry tho... he doesnt have an enlarged heart...he has NO heart.

What they saw was the triple stack bacon cheeseburger that Curry swallowed but forgot to chew....
