Has anyone noticed...

...that the 8th seed is a .500 team?

This is why I went off in the one playoff thread telling you guys that the teams that would make the playoffs would eventually play like playoff teams and even though the East starts off every year with 5 playoff seeded teams under .500 that they eventually play better. So you can't think that 35 wins would make the playoffs.

You also couldn't watch the standings and keep saying "we're only 2 games out" because there is so much more that goes into that than just winning two games.

So now here we stand. 5 games out. 8th seed is .500.

Can we put these playoff dreams to bed? And just focus on the young players already.

Yeah we certainly dont appear to be playoff bound... time to try to find takers for Al/Larry etc. See if we can get a worse expiring and a draft pick out of the deal for teams in the playoff hunt that think those type of guys could help put them over the top.

Start considering the Harrington for James/Ty Thomas... Robinson for Ammo/pick, Robinson for Steven Hunter/pick, Harrington or Hughes for QRich/Wright/pick, Harrington or Hughes and Robinson for Luke Ridnour/Kurt Thomas/Joe Alexander/pick things of that nature...

yeaaah it feels like we are already out of the playoffs so i hope donnie wakes up and not wait for the perfect trade as hes been waiting for more than a year now since the zach and jamal trade!!

I think most of us has seen the writing on the wall as the team has shown the signs that they are not ready to take it to the next level.

I would have thought even Darko Milicic would have been called back to the team by now, but ..... that might be out of the picture, as injuries are going to take a even bigger toll on the team, as half the team is banged up.

yeah damn - i think its time to free jordan hill and maybe try curry when hes finally healthyh--- dont kno about darko as hes been MIA for such a long time!!
and yes as hard as it is to admit - the season does seem like its fading away pretty quick just like this whole past decade has been- this is the point right before the alstar game where we realize that the season is over!!!!

well there needs to be a trade is needed, to add a player that can help us. I was mentioning why Cuttino Mobley is still on the roster, when Walsh said he should be off the books back in November, we are just about 1 day shy of February and he is still on the books taking up a spot.

signin jonathan bender is not an upgrade- hes wanted a point guard since the summer and hes still hasnt gotten one!
its been almost 2 years and he still hasnt gotten a legit startin center yet!

he better make noise come july!!!

it seems July is all he is concentrating on while D'Antoni and the team has regressed, due to being burnt out-over played.

woow hes gonna feel the pressure come july 1st!!! he made us knicks fans wait 2 years for that day and if we see that he screws it up then hes gonna hear it !!!!! the thing is hes got the same plan as 10 other teams in the league so its not that special of a plan!! if he gets 2 free agents then what????????? hows he gonna fill up the rest of the team? hell probably be sayin that hell be saving cap for 2011 summer which will b more annoyin
