Hornets v. Magic @8pm

This could be a tricky game for us. Yesterday's win was kind of a big one, so hopefully the Magic won't have a let-down. Also, we can't asssume the Hornets are going to roll over without CP3. We'll need another full 4 quarters of effort from our guys tonight.

remember when dwight vs okafor games used to be a big deal?

paul is hurt, but collison has done a hell of a job filling in. I don't see jameer or jwill being quick enough to contain him. I'm also worried about the matchup advantage west has over lewis.

we should still win, but i think this will be a close game

true. National televised games arent either.

Thats why we break out of that pattern and win a solid game. Vince plays well in a back to back. Dwight has a big game. JJ is hitting and Lewis hits a couple 3s in the 4th to stretch out a close game.

No - Magic blow this one out - in a good way. I won't predict the score but here are three predictions on tonights game...

Hornets don't score over 94
Magic have a lead at some point more than 20pts
Magic coast to a win by double digits

We had a 12-5 lead, then realized that we don't like to play from in front the whole game and promptly started throwing the ball all over the arena.

Well - prediction #1 looks to be out the window unless we seriously lock things down in the next 3 quarters (that means 3 consecutive quarters of focus - not sure we can do that)

Our defense has been pretty non-existent through the 1st half. Can't win games not playing defense and turning the ball over. Looks like we will have yet another game where the focus isn't there, hence loss when it should have been an easy win. Nelson is such garbage I don't even know where to begin. Letting a rookie look like a 1st team all NBA PG is hard to do in this league, but Nelson makes it look easy.

VC has been looking great the entire month of February so far. He is certainly back to putting up good numbers.

Wow. Talk about 2 steps forwards, 80 steps back in the last minutes. Looked like we were going to close on them, but then turned the ball over and of course played no defense. Got to love the how the Magic can play so focused in one quarter, not give a fuck in the other 3. See it way too much for my taste and I'm sure SVG is getting tired of that bullshit too.

Magic are shooting 55% from the field and over 60% from 3pt and we're losing by 15pts thanks to turnover and defense.

This hurts to watch right now. SVG is already hoarse and I can't believe he'll have a voice left at all after halftime.

What a joke of a team this has become giving up 70 points to the fucking Hornets at home in the first half. I'm done watching this game. I'm sure the Magic will make a game of it in the 2nd half, only to tease us and lose. Pretty much what they do to every team that is completely beneath us. If it was the Cavs, Celtics or Hawks, they probably win though. Never seen such a bipolar team in all my life.

the hornets can't keep hitting shots like this can they? This is ridiculous. The magic have done some bad things, but it looks like we've run into a buzzsaw tonight.

The Hornets are getting into the lane and making layups/dunks. Sure they are also making their jumpers, but it isn't like the Magic are even trying to play defense. The Magic seem content on trying to just score, but not do much else. I mean seriously. They gave up 10 points in the last minute and that was because they turned it over like 2 or 3 times.

sometimes i wonder if you watch the games or just follow the box score. NO has made some shots in the paint, but they have been hitting ridiculous jumpers left and right and that has inflicted the most damage.. Some of them are open, some of them aren't. If we play this exact same way against NO when they're not shooting out of their minds, this game could be tied right now. At worst we would be down by a few points.
