Would get themselves in a situation like this.
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ba...ring_boos.html New York Knicks say haunted hotel was a problem before loss to Thunder OKLAHOMA CITY - The Knicks were afraid, very afraid. And it had nothing to do with the Oklahoma City Thunder. For two days, several players had trouble sleeping because they were convinced that their downtown hotel is haunted. "I definitely believe it," Jared Jeffries said. "The place is haunted. It's scary." Eddy Curry claims he slept for only two hours Sunday night because he couldn't stop thinking about ghosts roaming the hotel. For years, guests staying at the Skirvin Hilton have reported ghost sightings and strange noises. Legend has it that sometime in the 1930s, a woman jumped to her death while holding her baby in her hands. "They said it happened on the 10th floor and I'm the only one staying on the 10th floor," Curry said. "That's why I spent most of my time in (Nate Robinson's) room. I definitely believe there are ghosts in that hotel." Assistant coach Herb Williams teased Jeffries and Curry for believing that the Skirvin is haunted, but Curry wasn't laughing. "There are too many stories," Curry said. "Something is going on there." ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yeah....this one is really horrible and hilarious at the same time.
Curry running to Nate for protection. Jared Jeffries freaked out. To be honest, if you google that hotel, it does have a "history" but I don't really believe in that shit. Sure, old buildings with history can be creepy, they creak and moan, etc. So what? It's called charm. Personally I'd live in the Munsters mansion if I could so well that's where I'm coming from LOL. Yet, now they've opened themselves up for ridicule and pranks. I hope every team puts them in the most dilapidated old building known for murders and ghosts for the rest of the year. The next home game fans should dress up as ghosts and taunt these lazy ass bums. ![]() ![]() |

heheee weird that only curry and jeffries were asked about the hotel - but ok they didnt really emphasize the story so it wasnt like they used it as an excuse to the losss!! they just stunk as thunder and rockets are really gooooood teams!! i really like their teams as theyre young and winning!

Ughhhh...apparently it wasn't just the Knicks
![]() ------------------------------------------------- Gibson's close encounter: Bulls rookie gets a scare in the middle of the night at 'haunted' hotel January 27, 2010, 5:17 PM By: Nick Friedell OKLAHOMA CITY -- Taj Gibson was still trying to wrap his mind around what he had seen as the old elevator at the Skirvin Hotel gingerly opened its doors Wednesday morning. The rookie from USC had heard the stories about the old hotel being haunted, and now he had one of his own that surely would add to the myth. "At one point, at around 12:15 at night, my bathroom just slammed completely shut," he said. "I don't know what it was, but it just completely slammed. It took me a minute to kind of figure out what [it] was." Some say the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City is haunted, but it didn't prevent the Bulls from getting a good night's sleep. Derrick Rose heard the ghost tales from all the locals, as well. "If everybody in the town is saying it, then it's got to be true." Rose said after Wednesday's shootaround."I don't care whatever somebody said on this team, I believe in stuff like that. It was scary [Tuesday] night." The reigning rookie of the year wasn't about to take any chances that a ghost would come and visit him in the night, so he roomed with rookie forward James Johnson, who happens to have an extensive background in martial arts, just in case. "We were watching [out for] each other," Rose said with a laugh. "We were just up on the computer just talking, just having fun the whole night." The young Bulls also confirmed that they heard the same noise Gibson was describing. "Me and JJ heard some stuff in the hallway last night, too, but it was late," Rose said. "We didn't say [anything] about it last night, but we heard some stuff." Although Gibson still doesn't sound completely convinced that the old hotel is haunted, he is confident that it is different from most of the hotels the players usually stay at. "I try not to believe it, but anything's possible," Gibson said of the Skirvin stories. "But [Tuesday] night was kind of a weird feeling, to have a door just slam out of nowhere." "It's just totally different," Rose said while describing the hotel and the city itself. "It's more country, I'd say. It's just way different. It's different from Chicago." When I asked Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro whether he was worried that any of his players didn't get a good night's sleep, his answer was quick. "No," he said. "No. Everything's good. That's crazy." Although Del Negro might not believe in ghosts, it's safe to say Gibson and several of his teammates are ready to get to New Orleans in advance of Friday's game. "Yeah," he said with a smile. "I just want to see other cities right now." ------------------------------------------------- |

The noises in the night are all these players running into each others room for protection. LOL.
Does martial arts work on a ghost? |

LMAO, I just read this article as well.
Hilarious. Hmmm I wonder if Eddy used the haunted hotel excuse to bunk up with lil Nate. ![]() Is there approved hotels selected by the NBA that teams must stay at? Or does OKC lack sufficient choices for decent hotels for NBA players? Or is it the Bull and Knicks are so cheap they stay at haunted hotels. ![]() LMAO @ D-Rose for bunking with JJ just because he is a black belt. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Riddler2222; 01-28-2010 at 07:17 AM. |

OMG, did any of you read this on wikipedia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skirvin_Hilton_Hotel First opened in 1911, the Skirvin Hotel contained 224 rooms in a ten-story two-winged tower. A third 12-story wing was added in 1925, and then in 1929-30 all three wings were leveled off to 14 floors with a total of 525 rooms.[3] The hotel is named for its founder, William Balser "Bill" Skirvin, whose daughter, Perle Mesta, became the ambassador to Luxumbourg under Harry Truman.[1] Rumours of a haunting in the hotel persist, and were even cited by New York Knicks players as a reason for poor play after the team stayed at the hotel the night before a January 12, 2010 game. [4] Supposedly, the hotel's original owner had an affair with a maid that led to a pregnancy. To avoid scandal, the maid was locked on the top floor where she went crazy, gave birth and then jumped out a window killing herself and the baby, without notice in newspapers. Since then, guests have reported hearing a wailing infant, seeing naked female ghosts and one man claims he was sexually assaulted by an apparition.[4] Sexually assulted by an apparition? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
