JJ is most likely on one of the best teams, roster wise, that he could be on in the league.
Orlando, Cleveland, and maybe Phoenix are really the best places for a "shooter" to play, IMO. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Eze, NY is a good place for shooters, too. Well, insofar as NY is a good place for anything.

yeah, his trade value is limited to basically...the magic's direct competitors. the lakers would love to have a shooter. they'll trade you their jj for yours...

Harder for the Magic tho to have a short point guard that really isnt a very good defender and pair him with JJ. Barnes being the tough guy helps some and Dwight having their backs helps too. JJ ideally is a back-up. Bulls had two great defenders playing the 2 and 3 so the "point" could be a guy like Kerr or Paxton. Even the guy who only got minutes during the 3 point contest at the all-star game. Forget his name now. |

The more I think about it, the more I think Hinrich would be a great starting PG for this team. Tough, defensive guy who largely defers on offense.
Trouble is, his contract is bigger and uglier than Roseanne. |

if boston or la gets hinrich without giving up a major piece, they're going to be trouble. |

The question is: Is Hinrich a better fit overall than Nelson? Does Kirk replace Jameer, or do they PG by committee?

I'm not sure if he'd be a better fit right away. Dwight and Jameer have good chemistry and I think trading away Jamer would not make Dwight a happy camper.

i'm not really advocating hinrich to orlando, as they have the pg and sg slot filled pretty well. i was really just taking issue with the idea that his contract is some sort of albatross. 2 more years at 8.5 million per really isn't that staggering, especially if he's going to play a primary role for your team. that's why i mentioned boston and la (teams that could use additional help at those spots in my estimation). |

despite jameer's recent struggles...which he had been coming out of lately, he has proven himself to be a guy that you can't double off of because he can hit the open jumper. Hinrich isn't the type of shooter we need at pg because dwight would have a pg in his lap every time he touched the ball.
that said, he's a better defender and a slightly better distributor. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

jj's become my new courtney lee... he's grown immensely this season. with that said, i would be willing to let him go, but we'd have to get someone pretty good in return... not old though like ray allen.
he's one of the best playmakers on our team!!!! and i'm serious! |

Hinrich is one helluva player and competitor and he's got one of the highest hoops iq in the NBA ... He'd be a good fit for any contending team, and would be the kind of piece which'll put a team over the top if he's dealt.
Bulls are a different team with him on the floor. Defensively we're so much more tougher. |

and mully, the guy who only played during the 3-point contest was Craig Hodges... Hinrich to a contending team would be scary... he's smart and gives you maximum effort every time out... cuz he's white, and that's what white guys do... no, but seriously, without him, the Bulls have no perimeter defense... he's been struggling with his shot this year, but with the open looks he'd be getting, i'm sure he'd round into form... he also had a thumb injury earlier that is starting to become fully healed... because of that, he's beginning to shoot better lately... he does tend to overdribble at times, but i don't think that'd be a concern because of the offensive weapons you guys have... the Bulls start Noah and Taj Gibson right now, and while Noah's become better and Taj isn't a slouch on offense, neither is a guy you just dump the ball in to and say "create a shot"... everyone i know would much rather get rid of Salmons than Hinrich though... got an expiring for him? ![]() White Sox 2005 World Series Champions, 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks ![]() Logical Bulls' Fans Club (aka, The Committee) Current members: PK, Icecolddp, deputy, LOL_Dong, Riddler2222, batboy129861, soxfan, Young Boss, Makaveli22514, PeachEater of course it was I seem to detect a pattern: Quote:

Hinrich would be a great addition to the team... he could play next to Nelson if needed. I've liked Hinrich since his days at Kansas.... the guy is a solid, all-around player. We better hope that a team like the C's or Lakers do not get him before the deadline. The way Chicago is playing, I think they will keep him and trade him in the off-season.
